Zildjian has been a master cymbal manufacture since 1618.    Before the family business moved to America in 1929, Avedis Zildjian originally lived in Constantinople, where he fine-tuned his metal alloy mixtures.  His cymbals sounded so spectacular, the Sultan invited him to live at the palace to create for his own elite bands.  Since then, the family has carried on the tradition in what they claim is the oldest family owned business in America. With continually new models and alloy blends available, they do not sit still.
