Open Arms: Skirts and Scarves Made by Refugees in USA
:: Provide employment to refugees and families :: Each piece unique Open Arms is an organization that provides jobs, freedom and independence for refugee women living in the US. These are not ordinary clothing designs… they have a unique twist of combining solid color fabrics, with a great asymmetrical touch of in-sewing a generous, bold swatch of fabric or a rosette design from random new sources. There are two things we can do to help out this good cause – we can buy their fun and reasonably priced skirts and scarves, and /or we can donate new T-Shirts from any print over-runs we may have access to (school organizations and leftovers from your fundraising events are just a few sources). Open Arms is headquartered in Austin, TX and have an online store as well as wholesale channels. http://www.theopenarmsshop.com/
Snapware: Plastic Food Storage Containers
::Great value ::BPA-free ::Widely available ::Well-made
Snapware makes great food containers with sealed snap-lids in a variety of sizes. Great for cereal and other delicious dry carbs. They are stackable, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. We bought our set at Costco for a great price, and two years they are still going strong. Some of the lids have small “escape hatches” for reaching in to grab a few – great for pita chips!
The plastic items are made in the USA… the glass items are imported.

Louisville Slugger: Wooden Bats Still Made in USA
::Wooden bats made in USA ::Feel the history
Barely escaping a party pooper award, Louisville Slugger still makes their wooden bats in the USA – while exporting the more modern aluminum and composite bat production. If you want to play like the pros, choose the natural wooden bats from the USA versus the imported Aluminum options. You’ll get a nice “crack” sound versus a “ping” sound too

EZ Haul: Two Companies with Same Name Both Make Carts
::One uses rigid poly tubs ::One makes industrial welded metal
I’m going to go out on a limb and feature both of these American companies – they have the same name, they are both in California, and they also have similar products! EZ Haul Carts have plastic liners similar to wheelbarrows, but have different functions, tipping actions and wheel types. They have been making and evolving their carts since 1986 for gardeners, landscapers, and for interior uses. They have a slim type that is narrow to fit through doorways and likely works nicely for hauling trash through a building interior. Another cart is designed for hauling and can hook up to your EZ Go or tractor.
This one has prices listed (which is more convenient than the other EZ Haul):

The other EZ Haul offers more industrial-strength powder-coated metal carts for plant nurseries (multiple-tiered rolling shelves), display racks, hand trucks, wagons with removable sides, and work carts in expanded metal or solid metal sheeting. This company also offers custom trailers and carts, and unfortunately does not have prices listed on their website. Give them a holler at their toll-free number if you are interested, though – they have a lot to offer!

Flashlights Made in USA: Overviews and Product Spreads
::Over a dozen American flashlight companies are outlined in this mega-feature
Many thanks go out to Joel Garner for rounding up the flashlight companies in this feature, as well as for research into the “USA Factor” of each maker and some in-the-loop info. There are so many great lighting makers, I thought it appropriate to corral them into one major overview, as to make all info and product images easily comparable. These are in no particular order, but as new companies are added, they will appear at the top of the list with a date of amendment.
