Gainey Ceramics has a solid selection of bowls, planters and pet feeders for interior or exterior use – many products have multiple sizes too. We really like the hexagonal rounded planter, the tapered cylinders and the hanging sphere. The shallow bowls have a sleek, elegant and sophisticated look.
Every ceramic piece we have seen by Gainey is Made in USA, however their self-watering pots are imported, so keep an eye out.

Today we ran across an endcap of Behrens “Vintage Steel” series containers at our local OSH (see middle foreground image). Wow, they really have an amazing feel of nostalgia to them! The wooden handles and stamped logo are beautiful touches that add great character and feeling of quality. Behrens has many lines of galvanized steel products in several finishes. Products include plant stands, pails, trash cans, boilers, watering cans, funnels, totes, ice pails, utility pans, scoops, coal hoods and shovels, compost bins, and tubs.

QMT makes their amazing wind chimes in Virginia, using locally sourced materials. After we heard the Arias wind chimes in person, we had to retire our old wind chimes that inadvertently played Star Wars imperial tune when the wind blew just right! The Arias we tested out was perfect pitch, and all the bells together created no wavering – it was a pure and beautiful chord, which still sounds perfect five years later! Even the cabling and pieces have withstood many windy seasons.
We highly recommend QMT’s products, and if you ever get a chance, check out their very large chimes – amazing! QMT has several lines under different names which have different tunings, materials, and levels of craft detail. Ranging from 15″ to 74″, Made in USA!
