Ball: Mason Jars for Canning, Drinking, Flowers
::Low prices ::Built solid ::Beautiful classic appeal ::Many uses
A few months ago we were doing last minute shopping for a backyard spring dinner party for our David’s birthday. For the table setting we looked at second-hand vases for our flowers at Goodwill… there were too many random designs without matching pairs. So we went to Cost Plus – and I knew we would have to suck it up and get some imported vases.
Much to my surprise they had Ball Mason jars in the kitchen section… PERFECT!! Not only are they a great value, but they will last forever, we can drink iced tea out of them, and Grandma can even use them for her vegetables and fruits! They cost as much as what Goodwill was charging for the alternatives.
Keep an eye out for imports with their other products though:

Buck Knives: Strong Handled Blades, Made in USA
::Competitive prices ::Carried by local stores ::Made in USA
By David A. Chang. An old trusty knife is about as American as you can get. Trekking back to our roots as hunters, frontier men, explorers of the wilderness and challengers of the great unknown; strong-handled blades have accompanied Americans throughout time and today is no different. Only the names of the Blades have changed.
Buck, from humble beginnings like the bold FOLDING HUNTER to the new millennium’s carbon infused Vantage Pro, has proven themselves to be as American as the blades they make. They cover all the bases from die-hard hunting knives to weekend warrior blades and even make handmade cutlery. Not only that but they are locally sold in everyday stores like OSH. We’ve managed to stumble across many a proud stand displaying Buck Knives and in big letters next to them, the words we all hold so dear: “Proudly Made in USA”.
Snapware: Plastic Food Storage Containers

Snapware makes great food containers with sealed snap-lids in a variety of sizes. Great for cereal and other delicious dry carbs. They are stackable, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. We bought our set at Costco for a great price, and two years they are still going strong. Some of the lids have small “escape hatches” for reaching in to grab a few – great for pita chips!
