Pendleton offers a huge range of products – quite a few made in USA with wool from their American Northwest Mills, and more-than-quite-a-few that are imported. We are not here to scold companies that import, but rather encourage them to re-shore their production.
So without further ado, I would like to compliment Pendleton on their sense of design and quality, and simply provide a link directly to a big tall page that only includes their “Made in USA” products (369 at this time), that offer a great list of blankets (and BABY BLANKETS for a reasonable price!), throws, skirts, scarves, shirts and clothing, furniture, pillows, hats, jewelry, bags and accessories, ceramic plates, mugs and bowls, glassware, and even a few cute items for the holidays!

LamsonSharp or Lamson as they are also known online, has been making highly respected cutlery and tools since 1839. Fine high-carbon stainless steel, stamped and forged cutlery can be found easily at very reasonable prices in many online stores.
Lamson has a huge lineup of tools, including every knife you can imagine, as well as pizza rockers, spatulas, specialty knives, carvers, mashers, turners, servers, spreaders, tongs, scrapers, sharpeners, forks, cleavers, block sets, and an impressive spread of long-handled rosewood grilling tools!
It has been cool to discover what an Ulu knife and a Granny Fork are. If you are considering a great gift, check out their BBQ tool sets. Beautiful! Silicone products are imported so keep an eye out. Their scissors are imported too (see bad reviews, lol!).

Christmas In America: Artificial Christmas Trees and More

An artificial tree is a tree is a tree, right?! We think not! Christmas in America makes very realistic Christmas trees in all varieties, from Aberdeen Pine, to Colorado Fir, to Douglas Fir, to Frasier Fir, to Sierra Pine, to Rocky Mountain Fir! Made in USA, except for the metal wire that is from Mexico.
We were in Costco the other day and saw an imported tree of similar quality for about $350… not much less than what Christmas in America has to offer! So these are very competitive with the high-end imported trees. And since they are made here in the USA, you can buy replacement parts should you ever need them.
The trees are made here, but keep an eye out for rorgue imports in the “Special Items” department. Some trees are lower price than others, so be sure to look at a few models before buying:

Today we ran across an endcap of Behrens “Vintage Steel” series containers at our local OSH (see middle foreground image). Wow, they really have an amazing feel of nostalgia to them! The wooden handles and stamped logo are beautiful touches that add great character and feeling of quality. Behrens has many lines of galvanized steel products in several finishes. Products include plant stands, pails, trash cans, boilers, watering cans, funnels, totes, ice pails, utility pans, scoops, coal hoods and shovels, compost bins, and tubs.
