Snapware: Plastic Food Storage Containers
::Great value ::BPA-free ::Widely available ::Well-made
Snapware makes great food containers with sealed snap-lids in a variety of sizes. Great for cereal and other delicious dry carbs. They are stackable, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. We bought our set at Costco for a great price, and two years they are still going strong. Some of the lids have small “escape hatches” for reaching in to grab a few – great for pita chips!
The plastic items are made in the USA… the glass items are imported.

Jacob Bromwell: Timeless Metal Cooking Classics
::Since 1819 ::Made to last ::Traditional designs ::Great website
Jacob Bromwell has been making this legendary cookware since 1819; a time when it was commonplace to cook over a wood fire! They’ve been making classics such as Morgan’s Famous cheese graters, collanders, frying pans and flour sifters in the kitchen… popcorn poppers, pyramid toasters, tin cups, chestnut roasters, mini-grills and skewers for the prairie fire setting… and dust pans, coal hods and fireplace shovels for the hearth.
Because of these roots and traditions, Bromwell’s cookware is made to last by using the same materials and craftsmanship as in the good ‘ol days, often with the tools that were built before electricity. Multiple metal options are available from original tin (stays sharper longer), to heavy gauge steel, stainless steel and anodized metal.
Feel the nostalgia and wonderful old textures in their Grade-A website, and prepare to start your own family traditions and memories. When was the last time you roasted chestnuts over an open fire?

Fuller Brush Co: Thousands of Brushes and Cleaners
::Wide Assortment of Uses ::Household Chemicals Too ::Famous Quality Name
In the 1940s my Father went door-to-door selling Fuller Brushes. A company that has been around forever, they now make over 2000 products in their facility. Not only do they make all types of brushes from beauty and hair brushes, to clothing lint brushes, to back scrubbers for the shower, to grout brushes… but they also have a huge variety of cleaning chemicals for all types of applications around the house or office (that seem to get good reviews).
They have also expanded to vacuum cleaners and rolley carpet sweepers, however these are likely imported.

Artful Vision: Dozens of American Artists And Good Causes
*Art of all types *Shop by category or by artist *20% of price goes to causes
There are so many fantastic artists and craft categories on this Art co-op, that it is almost dizzying. When you shop within this little community, you know that you are supporting an American artist, as well as supporting a good cause… and the percentage given to the cause is no joke either – a generous 20% goes to a cause of YOUR choice. On top of it, this art is reasonably priced to begin with!
There are many dozens of artists that cover sculpture, clothing, accessories, jewelry, pottery, lighting, birdhouses, greeting cards, slumped glasswork, photography, textiles, bath& body, you name it.

One item that I would like to feature is a hand-painted wall clock series by Christine Bailey Claringbold. She is a master at creating unique wall clocks that are painted on retired Vinyl records… now that is a clock with SOUL! (that is, unless it was painted on an old Muzak recording). The prices are great, and the detail is priceless. Get them fast before she gets really famous and hikes up the prices! She also puts her art on ceramics and on reclaimed CD spacers for a great suncatcher.

Aerobie: Products to Get Your Heart Rate Up
*World’s best coffee?! *Precision air gliding *Great prices *Widely available
Aerobie has two completely different product lines: record-breaking precision sport products, and a coffee press that many claim makes the world’s best coffee.
The Aerobie came out when all we had were Frisbees. My first encounter was amazement as it sliced through the air effortlessly, seemingly unaffected by wind currents! Since then, their product line has increased to accommodate additional variables such as excitable dogs, pools and lakes, the rules and regulations of disc golf, night skies, and solo expeditions. Now all we need is a night version of the Orbiter boomerang and we’re good to go!
For this post I would like to highlight the Aeropress: an amazing coffee press that takes only 20 seconds to infuse your brew, cleans very easily (by simply removing the packed filter disk), and makes a fantastic cup of brew! Since it’s made in the US, it brings a whole new meaning to “Cafe Americano”, but also makes amazingly smooth espresso and anywhere in-between.
I had the pleasure of a private tour and tasting at Aerobie’s headquarters, and got the scoop on its development, and its evolution over dozens of revision cycles. Designed by an engineer lecturer at Stanford, this is a labor of love that took years to perfect. Aerobie decided to manufacture and market this device privately, rather than license the design out to other manufacturers – because they wanted to ensure its quality would be maintained and never compromised. How is it superior?

American-made cookware and bakeware, grilling accessories, even omelette pans, “cake lifters” and many imaginative Bundt pan forms… all at amazingly low prices! Fantastic selection, but be on the lookout for rogue imports. Most Nordic Ware products made in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
We bought our wok from a Costco for about $30, very similar price to the imported options. It’s very sturdy and even comes with a lid.
