There are so many fantastic artists and craft categories on this Art co-op, that it is almost dizzying. When you shop within this little community, you know that you are supporting an American artist, as well as supporting a good cause… and the percentage given to the cause is no joke either – a generous 20% goes to a cause of YOUR choice. On top of it, this art is reasonably priced to begin with!

One item that I would like to feature is a hand-painted wall clock series by Christine Bailey Claringbold. She is a master at creating unique wall clocks that are painted on retired Vinyl records… now that is a clock with SOUL! (that is, unless it was painted on an old Muzak recording). The prices are great, and the detail is priceless. Get them fast before she gets really famous and hikes up the prices! She also puts her art on ceramics and on reclaimed CD spacers for a great suncatcher.

Modern design with tons of options. Los Angeles based manufacturer has quite a few stores in their area, but allows customers (you!) to design your next couch online. Product also includes sofabeds, sectionals, accent chairs, daybeds, headboards, ottomans, recliners, kids options, dining chairs and bar stools.
May cost around $1500 or more, but considering quality and flexibility in design – as well as an optional lifetime warranty, this could be a great choice. Some pricing is clear, others say “call for pricing” which I think needs to be re-thought . But here they are!

NICE!! Very very impressed with this company that sources 90% of its products domestically. Classic contemporary home furnishings, similar to Crate And Barrel in both price and style. Historic modern designs from Charles Eames, etc. Their online catalog shows individual products as well as “Inspiration” photos where you can shop entirely within those photos (like a showroom). Since 1980 their focus has been on “bringing you timeless designs made in the USA from the finest natural materials”. I am truly impressed with their design choices and quality of construction. I will start here for our next purchase for the home.

This is another reason for the inspiration for USGroove’s inception! We had looked over literally hundreds or thousands of Adirondack chairs on Amazon. None of the designs quite did it for us- concerning features, design appeal and pricing. But after discovering this beauty, it was all over! This is just a tad more than the wonky imports, and has a no-frills front beam (straight!) a good posture, curved back, stainless hardware, and even an adjoining table platform if that’s what you’d like. Have a look at their other traditional -yet timeless wooden furniture.

Very sleek and modern sofas, sectionals, chairs and beds… even pillows. These are likely worth any additional cost over anything at IKEA… and will probably last much longer as well. We have noticed that IKEA furniture becomes saggy and loses padding fluff after a very short period of time. If you are going for a modern look and updated “Mad Men”chic, have a look.

We have bought five desks and two printer/ server carts and we keep coming back for more! Although you pay a bit more than IKEA, it is reassuring when I can stand in the center of the desk and there is no bending or bowing in the middle. All products are easy to assemble and dismantle, all without thread and hole damage.
The desks that we use in our office are perfect for computer stations, and have been available for at least a decade, so we can add as we like – and know confidently that all new pieces will match the older ones. Another dream cart has a motor for lifting the worksurface for standing mode. Made in Tualatin, Oregon, Anthro’s products are used wherever technology is used – in hospitals, manufacturing, hospitals, and editing suites.
Caution: do not drop on foot.

WOOHOO!! I’ve always wanted a Murphy bed, and it looks like the prices are pretty reasonable! Roughly $700-$1300 for the mechanism and mattress, and IKEA-like prices for the surrounding cabinetry. This is the original maker, mostly made in USA!
